What is Fractal Schema?
Fractal Schema is a space to document what I'm figuring out as a software engineer. It's a place to write about the things I wish I'd known when I started, and the things I'm still learning.
Three pillars
-
01
Building & Shipping Technical writing on the full code-to-production lifecycle — CI/CD, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, monitoring, release management. The parts where things break in interesting ways.
-
02
Growing & Leading Learning in public. Mentoring while still being mentored. Running the community hubs. Career development from the junior perspective — with all the uncertainty that comes with it.
-
03
Finding Your Voice Being a woman in tech. Being introverted in roles that reward loudness. Professional identity when you don't fit the default mould. The quieter side of the industry that doesn't get written about enough.
About me
I'm a software engineer based in London, straddling backend engineering and DevOps day to day. I also lead the London Hub Engineering Community at my organisation.
I'm interested in mentoring, in what it means to lead quietly, and in the kind of learning that only happens when you write things down.
